RC Celta Joins Forces with Pontevedra Provincial Council for Social Development

RC Celta, the La Liga EA Sports club, is doubling down on its social commitment to the Galicia region. Through the Fundación Celta, the club has signed a strategic collaboration agreement with the Pontevedra Provincial Council (Diputación de Pontevedra) to foster sporting, social, and educational growth across the province.

Strengthening Social Impact

The alliance focuses on developing initiatives for groups with specific needs, with a primary emphasis on the Celta Integra Zelanova team. A cornerstone of this agreement is the establishment of a new Football School at the Príncipe Felipe Center in Pontevedra, which will be managed directly by the club.

This project aligns with the Fundación Celta’s core mission to promote values, education, and social integration through the medium of sport.

Key Pillars of the Agreement

The program covers a wide range of developmental and community-building activities, including:

  • Educational Workshops: Training in first aid, environmental awareness, social skills, and workplace inclusion.
  • Sports Integration: Participation of the Celta Integra Zelanova team in both the Galician Adapted Football League and the Liga Genuine.
  • Community Volunteering: Participants will engage as volunteers in RC Celta’s summer camps and various activities organized in partnership with local social entities across the province.

By combining the club’s sporting expertise with the institutional reach of the Pontevedra Provincial Council, this partnership aims to create a tangible, lasting impact on the local community, using football as a tool for personal development and social cohesion.
