Real Sociedad has officially extended its long-term alliance with IMQ Seguros. The Basque insurance company, which has been a staple of the club’s commercial family for nearly two decades, will remain a sponsor until at least 2027.
A Legacy Partnership
While the specific financial details and exact duration of the extension were not disclosed, both parties emphasized the deep-rooted nature of the collaboration.
Real Sociedad President Jokin Aperribay expressed his satisfaction, noting that after almost 20 years, IMQ is considered “part of the Realist family.” He thanked the insurer for their continued confidence and support of the club’s long-term vision.
Beyond the Pitch
The renewal isn’t limited to the first team. IMQ Seguros will continue its support for the Real Sociedad Fundazioa, which focuses on:
- Promoting sports across different ages and social categories.
- Cultural and social initiatives within the Gipuzkoa region.
- Health and wellness advocacy through the lens of professional sport.
Javier F. Maiztegui, General Manager of IMQ Seguros, highlighted that the renewal reaffirms a shared path of health, sports, and values, supporting a club that serves as a benchmark both on and off the field.
Sponsorship Momentum
This renewal follows other recent commercial successes for the San Sebastián club. Real Sociedad also recently secured Sygna as a sponsor for the front of their shorts through the 2026-2027 season, further stabilizing the club’s commercial revenue streams.
Interesting fact: While Real Sociedad is solidifying its commercial ties in the Basque country, other La Liga giants like Real Madrid are maximizing their own venues, currently operating 261 private boxes at the Bernabéu to drive premium revenue.
