Roland Garros will distribute €61.7 million in total prize money for the 2026 edition, a 9.5% increase year over year, continuing the financial growth trend across Grand Slams.
Singles champions will earn €2.8 million each, up €300,000 from 2025, when Carlos Alcaraz and Aryna Sabalenka lifted the titles.
The most significant adjustment comes in early-round payouts. Under tournament director Amélie Mauresmo, first-round prize money rises by 11.1%, with all main-draw players guaranteed €87,000. Earnings increase progressively, reaching €750,000 for semifinalists and €1.5 million for finalists.
Despite the increase, Roland Garros still trails the US Open (€5 million for champions) and Wimbledon Championships (€3.5 million), while remaining ahead of the Australian Open (€2.6 million).
Broadcast revenue continues to drive this growth. The 2025 tournament generated around €150 million through agreements with France Télévisions, Amazon Prime Video, and Warner Bros. Discovery, highlighting the expanding commercial value of the event.
