The British Grand Prix weekend at Silverstone has set a new Formula 1 attendance record, attracting a total of 564,000 spectators between July 3 and July 5.
The figure surpasses the previous benchmark established by the 1995 Australian Grand Prix, which drew approximately 520,000 fans.
Silverstone’s continued growth has cemented the event as one of the most lucrative weekends on the Formula 1 calendar. The circuit currently holds a long-term agreement with Liberty Media worth £300 million, securing its place on the championship schedule through 2034.
On the track, Argentine driver Franco Colapinto climbed from 19th on the grid to finish ninth, gaining 10 positions and collecting two championship points.
