Soccer Aid 2026 Celebrates 20 Years at London Stadium


The iconic England vs. Soccer Aid World XI FC rivalry returns to East London this summer. Since its debut in 2006, Soccer Aid has raised over £121 million for UNICEF. The 2026 match is set to be a historic occasion, featuring a “1966 tribute” kit for England and the debut of the adidas Trionda ball—the same model that will be used in the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The Managers: Williams vs. Bolt

Soccer Aid co-founder Robbie Williams returns to manage Team England, aiming to break the World XI’s recent dominance. Opposite him, Olympic legend Usain Bolt makes his managerial debut for the World XI, bringing his elite winning mentality from the track to the dugout.

Confirmed Squads (So Far)

The 2026 rosters feature a record-breaking mix of debutants and returning legends:

  • Team England: Led by captain Wayne Rooney, the squad includes Jill Scott, Joe Hart, Theo Walcott, and Jermain Defoe. They are joined by celebrities Tom Hiddleston, Olly Murs, and rugby icon Joe Marler, who will surprisingly feature in goal.
  • Soccer Aid World XI: Barcelona legend Jordi Alba makes his debut alongside Leonardo Bonucci and Edwin van der Sar. The celebrity lineup features Richard Gadd (Baby Reindeer), Maisie Adam, and last year’s match-winner Big Zuu.
  • Record Breaker: 16-year-old actor Owen Cooper will make history as the youngest-ever player to feature in the competition.
