LAS VEGAS – The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has announced a landmark five-year naming rights agreement with tech giant Meta. The promotion’s specialized production and live event facility in Las Vegas will be officially rebranded as the Meta Apex.
A High-Tech Showcase
The partnership transforms the venue into a real-world testing ground for Meta’s latest innovations. The Meta Apex will serve as a primary hub for:
- Interactive Technologies: Showcasing advancements in AI, Virtual Reality (VR), and wearable tech such as Meta’s smart glasses.
- Immersive Viewing: Fans will be able to experience live fights through interactive VR and AI-enhanced features.
- Diverse Programming: In addition to UFC Fight Nights and the Contender Series, the venue will host Zuffa Boxing (debuting Jan. 23), UFC BJJ, and Power Slap events.
Major Facility Renovation
The rebranding coincides with a significant expansion of the facility. For the first time, tickets will be available to the general public as the arena undergoes renovations to include:
- Expanded Capacity: Seating for up to 1,000 attendees.
- Enhanced Amenities: Upgraded concessions, new hospitality suites, and a remodeled lobby with a dedicated box office.
Deepening Executive Ties
The deal reflects the growing relationship between the two organizations. UFC CEO Dana White recently joined Meta’s board of directors, while Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has become a prominent fixture at UFC events.
“Meta is at the forefront of immersive experiences,” said Dana White. “This rebranding comes at the perfect time as we expand our hospitality and retail. Fans can finally come to the Meta Apex and experience fights with wearable technology.”
