UFC, White House event reaches 34 million global viewers

UFC has reported that its “Freedom 250” event reached an estimated 34 million people worldwide, marking a major global audience milestone for the MMA promotion. The event took place on June 14, 2026, at the White House South Lawn.

According to UFC’s latest figures, total viewership breaks down as follows:

  • United States and Latin America: 17 million
  • Global total: approximately 34 million

The updated number includes international broadcast data from markets such as Australia, China, India, South Korea, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom.

The event still delivered several milestones:

  • 7 million average viewers in the U.S., a UFC domestic record
  • Most-watched live event in Paramount+ history
  • 126 billion social media views during the event week

However, it fell short of UFC president Dana White’s pre-event expectation of “Super Bowl-type numbers.” In comparison, Super Bowl LX drew more than 125 million viewers.

The event reportedly cost around $60 million to stage, with UFC recovering only about half of that amount. The promotion is said to have absorbed roughly $30 million in losses.

Following the event, Dana White stated that a similar outdoor showcase would not be repeated, saying there was “no way we can do this again.”

“Freedom 250” became a landmark moment for UFC in terms of global visibility and media reach, but it also highlighted the gap between ambitious crossover expectations and the financial realities of staging large-scale spectacle events.
