World Team Tennis (WTT) has signed a domestic media rights deal with Versant as the mixed-gender professional tennis league prepares to return after a five-year absence.
Under the agreement, all six matches scheduled for December will air exclusively on CNBC in prime time through Versant’s USA Sports broadcast division. Streaming platform Fandango will also make all six events available free of charge.
The 2026 edition of WTT will feature three clubs representing New York City, Toronto and Florida, with matches scheduled to take place between December 1 and 15.
Jessica Pegula, Denis Shapovalov and Tommy Paul are among the high-profile players expected to compete.
Celia Kohl, Senior Vice President of Strategy and Business Development at Versant, said the company sees WTT as a growth-oriented property capable of attracting audiences across both CNBC and Fandango.
World Team Tennis CEO Stephen Amritraj said the league’s new era is focused on building a sports and entertainment property that can reach fans across multiple platforms while attracting new audiences to the sport.
Originally launched in 1974 by tennis icon Billie Jean King, WTT last held a season in 2021. Its return in 2026 marks the league’s first campaign in five years.
Versant’s USA Sports portfolio already includes media rights to properties such as the WNBA, PGA Tour, Nascar and the Bundesliga, alongside emerging competitions including LOVB and Pro Padel.
