World Boxing has announced the launch of a dedicated global streaming service called World Boxing TV, created in partnership with sports streaming and fan engagement platform Joymo.
The non-profit international federation, which governs boxing at Olympic, Paralympic and e-sport level, said the new platform will serve as a central digital destination for live events, on-demand content, highlights and competition coverage.
Built on Joymo’s technology, World Boxing TV will operate as a subscription-based service designed to connect fans directly with the organisation’s competition calendar. The platform will combine live event broadcasts, exclusive programming and on-demand content within a single digital ecosystem.
World Boxing Secretary General Tom Dielen said the initiative represents a significant step in the organisation’s development and in the global growth of the sport.
“The launch of World Boxing TV marks an important milestone in the development of World Boxing and the continued growth of our sport as it provides an opportunity for fans to actively engage with our schedule of competitions and creates a platform for boxers to showcase their skills, connect with viewers and grow their own fanbases,” Dielen said.
He added that the platform would strengthen storytelling around the sport and bring fans closer to athletes and events shaping the future of Olympic boxing.
Joymo chief executive Mike Emery said the partnership gives World Boxing greater control over its content, audience data and digital revenue streams.
“Sports organisations today need more than a streaming service – they need a solution that gives them ownership of their content, direct access to their audiences, meaningful fan data and the ability to build sustainable digital revenue streams,” Emery said.
He described World Boxing TV as a “powerful digital asset” that will help expand the sport globally while improving engagement with fans and stakeholders across the boxing ecosystem.
