Vienna Vikings have confirmed their home venues for the 2026 season in the European League of Football, marking a significant structural shift in their matchday setup.
The Austrian franchise will play five of their six home games at the newly renovated Wiener Sport-Club Stadion, a venue they will use as their primary home ground for the first time in club history. The move follows recent renovation and modernization works, positioning the stadium as a long-term base for the team’s growing operations.
A marquee fixture against Rhein Fire will again be staged at the larger Generali Arena, which has previously hosted high-profile American football events and remains the club’s designated venue for major occasions.
General manager Max Paatz described the shift as a “special step†in the franchise’s evolution, emphasizing both the novelty of the new home ground and the continued importance of the Generali Arena for showcase games.
On the field, the Vikings enter 2026 with strong home form as a foundation, having built one of the league’s most dominant home records since their inception.
Head coach Chris Calaycay also highlighted the emotional impact of the move, framing the new stadium as an opportunity to build a stronger atmosphere and identity around the team’s growing fanbase.
