Botafogo has officially confirmed Mizuno as its new technical sponsor in a deal running through the end of 2029, marking the Japanese brand’s return to Brazilian football after 37 years.
The partnership will see Mizuno take over kit production from the second half of 2026, with the first official collection expected to be launched ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026.
The agreement follows Botafogo’s split with Reebok and represents a strategic shift for both sides, combining heritage branding with a renewed push into performance and global visibility.
Club leadership described the deal as a convergence of tradition and innovation, while Mizuno highlighted the opportunity to reconnect with Brazilian football through a club with a strong cultural identity and over a century of history.
The launch will be supported by a wider marketing campaign focusing on legacy, community and performance positioning, reinforcing Botafogo’s ambition to strengthen its commercial profile both domestically and internationally.
