Bundesliga has announced a major long-term agreement with Adidas, extending its role as official match ball supplier for both the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 until 2034.
The deal, which begins in the 2026–27 season, replaces previous supplier Derbystar and secures Adidas as the league’s official ball partner for an additional four seasons beyond its previous contract.
As part of the agreement, Adidas will also provide a €100 million investment package aimed at supporting the commercial development and growth of German professional football. The funds will be used across marketing, infrastructure, and strategic league initiatives.
The financial framework was unanimously approved by the DFL executive committee and will be jointly managed by league officials and the 36 clubs across both top divisions.
DFL leadership described the investment model as a key tool to strengthen long-term competitiveness and financial stability in German football, particularly in a more volatile global sports economy.
Adidas CEO Bjørn Gulden emphasized the company’s commitment to actively shaping the future of German football through innovation, reliability, and long-term collaboration both on and off the pitch.
The Bundesliga highlighted the agreement as a strategic example of how commercial partnerships can directly contribute to league-wide development rather than traditional sponsorship alone.
