DFB.TV launches on HD+ with 24/7 football Channel

German football is expanding its digital broadcast footprint with the launch of DFB.TV, which will be available on HD+ starting 22 May 2026.

The new service introduces a dedicated 24/7 football channel alongside a comprehensive on-demand library covering national teams, youth competitions and grassroots football across Germany.

A New Digital Hub for German Football

DFB.TV will broadcast around 250 live events per year, spanning a wide range of competitions and formats, including:

  • German national teams (men’s and women’s football)
  • Youth and junior competitions
  • Futsal and beach soccer
  • DFB ePokal matches
  • Amateur and regional football tournaments

In addition, the platform will launch the DFB.TV Mediathek, offering match replays, highlights, documentaries and exclusive editorial formats.

Live Coverage From Domestic Cups to World Cup Build-Up

The launch programming begins with major domestic events such as the men’s DFB-Pokal final and the “Finaltag der Amateure,” which showcases regional cup finals across Germany.

The platform will also expand into international coverage, including content around the 2026 FIFA World Cup preparations for the German national team, featuring reporting from the team base camp and the “German House of Soccer” in the United States.

Multi-Platform Access and Flexible Subscription Model

HD+ customers will be able to access DFB.TV through satellite and IP-based platforms, including smart TV apps and dedicated receivers.

The service will be offered through multiple pricing options:

  • €2.99 monthly add-on
  • €120.88 annual HD+ bundle including DFB.TV
  • €60 six-month retail package

Features include restart, pause (up to 120 minutes), and 30-day catch-up functionality via the HD+ TV app.

Expanding the Digital Football Ecosystem

The launch reflects a broader trend in European sports broadcasting, where federations and leagues are increasingly building direct-to-consumer platforms to control content distribution and fan engagement.

By combining live matches, archival content and documentary storytelling, DFB.TV positions itself as a central digital hub for German football across all levels of the game.
