Real Madrid renews Emirates sponsorship deal worth €100 million per season

Real Madrid has extended its sponsorship agreement with Emirates for another five years in a deal that will reportedly increase the club’s annual sponsorship revenue to €100 million per season.

According to reports from Spain, the new agreement represents a significant increase from the current deal, which is estimated to be worth between €70 million and €80 million annually. The renewal is expected to boost Emirates’ annual contribution by approximately 25%.

A Partnership Entering Its Second Decade

Emirates first became a sponsor of Real Madrid in 2011 and was elevated to the club’s main shirt sponsor in 2013. Since then, the airline’s branding has appeared on the jerseys of both the men’s and women’s teams, while also serving as the club’s official airline partner.

The renewed agreement further strengthens one of football’s longest-standing commercial partnerships, extending a relationship that has spanned more than 15 years.

Expanded Presence Across the Club

A key addition to the new deal is Emirates’ increased involvement with Real Madrid’s basketball division. The airline will become an official sponsor of the basketball team, broadening the scope of the partnership beyond football.

Emirates will also enhance its visibility at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium. In addition to branding at the club’s training facilities, the airline will have a stronger presence inside the stadium, including through the Emirates Lounge hospitality area.

Executives Welcome the Renewal

Boutros Boutros, Emirates’ Divisional Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications, Marketing and Brand, welcomed the extension, highlighting the airline’s long-standing commitment to football and its ability to connect fans around the world through the sport.

Meanwhile, Florentino Pérez described the agreement as a reflection of the special relationship built between the two organizations over the years, noting that Emirates has been alongside the club throughout one of the most successful periods in Real Madrid’s history.

The renewal marks the first major commercial announcement since Pérez secured another term as Real Madrid president and further reinforces the club’s position among the most commercially powerful sports organizations in the world.
