Real Madrid and Adidas have extended their long-standing partnership with a new eight-year agreement that will keep the German sportswear giant as the club’s official kit supplier through 2034.
While financial terms were not officially disclosed, Spanish media reports estimate the deal to be worth around €120 million ($139 million) per year, placing the total value of the agreement at approximately $1.1 billion.
Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez described the extension as “the most important agreement in the history of football,” while Adidas chief executive Bjørn Gulden said the company would continue creating innovative products that allow fans to support the club both in stadiums and in everyday life.
The partnership between Real Madrid and Adidas began in 1980 and, aside from an 11-year interruption, has become one of the most iconic relationships in global sports. The Spanish club has won eight UEFA Champions League titles while wearing Adidas kits.
The renewed agreement covers not only the men’s first team but also Real Madrid’s academy, women’s football, and basketball programs.
The announcement comes just days after Real Madrid also extended its front-of-shirt sponsorship agreement with Emirates for another five years. The airline, which has partnered with the club since 2011, is reportedly paying around €100 million ($116 million) annually under the renewed deal.
Valued at $7.7 billion, Real Madrid remains the world’s most valuable football club, benefiting from the redevelopment of the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium and continued growth in commercial and media revenues. The club is also exploring the possibility of bringing in a strategic investor through a minority stake sale of up to 10%.
