Advertising slots on M6 are reaching as high as €270,000 during tonight’s France – Sweden Round of 16 World Cup clash.
The France national team faces Sweden on Tuesday, June 30 at 11 p.m. in the Round of 16 of the FIFA World Cup. France topped Group I, while Sweden finished third in Group F. The winner will face the victor of Paraguay vs Germany, with Germany having been eliminated on penalties in the previous round.
M6, broadcasting the match free-to-air under a sublicensing agreement with beIN Sports, is selling several advertising slots around the game through M6 Unlimited.
According to the official rate card, the most expensive 20-second advertisement is the “Power Break” slot, priced at €270,000. These ads are placed during the mandatory cooling breaks in each half.
The pre-match “national anthem / kickoff” slot is priced at €240,000, while the first-half halftime break slot is slightly lower at €230,000. Additional advertising opportunities include €240,000 slots for extra time and penalty shootouts, while a post-match slot is priced at €60,000.
All prices are listed before tax and include exposure during France matches, which significantly boosts demand. Compared with the previous Norway vs France group-stage match, prices have slightly decreased, with a 7.7% drop in the pre-match slot and a 17.9% drop in the halftime opening slot. The Norway match previously marked the highest advertising rates of the tournament so far, though further increases are expected as the competition progresses.
