Gianni Infantino’s earnings during his 10-year tenure as FIFA president have come into focus following the conclusion of the 2026 World Cup.
Infantino, who was elected FIFA president in 2016, earned a total of 4.824 million Swiss francs in 2025, equivalent to approximately €5.29 million. The figure included a 2.2 million Swiss franc bonus.
His total compensation increased from approximately €4.44 million in 2024.
More Than €32 Million in 10 Years
Since taking over as FIFA president in 2016, Infantino has earned more than €32 million in total compensation.
The biggest increase came between 2017 and 2018, when his annual earnings rose from €1.45 million to €3.1 million. The increase coincided with the growth of FIFA’s revenues, which reached $2.66 billion in 2025.
FIFA’s Salary Transparency Began Under Infantino
FIFA began publicly disclosing detailed information on the salaries and bonuses of its senior executives during Infantino’s presidency.
Under his predecessor, Sepp Blatter, such figures were not made public. Blatter was later reported to have received a 20 million Swiss franc bonus that had not previously been disclosed.
FIFA’s 2025 financial report also revealed that Secretary General Mattias Grafström received more than 2.4 million Swiss francs, including bonuses.
