Kylian Mbappé’s €3.7 Million-Per-Year Nike Deal Comes to an End

French football star Kylian Mbappé is currently without a personal boot and apparel sponsor after his long-term endorsement agreement with Nike officially expired on July 31, according to reports from L’Équipe.

The previous deal was worth approximately €3.69 million per year, according to figures published by L’Informé. However, industry expectations suggest Mbappé’s next endorsement contract could be worth three to four times more, reflecting his status as one of football’s biggest global stars and a key figure for any sportswear brand.

Nike Still in the Running

Although the contract has expired, Nike remains a strong candidate to renew the partnership. Reports indicate Mbappé values the company’s products and maintains a positive relationship with the American sportswear giant, factors that could play an important role in future negotiations.

Rival Brands Monitoring the Situation

Mbappé’s free-agent status in the sponsorship market has naturally attracted attention from competing brands.

Adidas, Nike’s biggest global rival, is believed to be closely following the situation, while Under Armour has also emerged as a potential contender. The American brand already sponsors Mbappé’s Real Madrid teammate Antonio Rüdiger, making it another possible destination.

Could Mbappé Launch His Own Brand?

Another possibility being discussed is that Mbappé could capitalize on his global profile by launching his own personal sportswear brand.

Rather than signing with an established manufacturer, the France captain could leverage his commercial appeal to develop an independent brand, following a growing trend among elite athletes seeking greater control over their image and business interests.

For now, no new agreement has been announced, leaving one of football’s most valuable commercial partnerships open as brands compete to secure one of the sport’s biggest marketing assets.
