UEFA has launched a tender for the broadcast rights to its three men’s club competitions across nine markets, including Türkiye. The four-season rights cycle will cover the 2027-28 to 2030-31 campaigns, with bids due by November 3.
The tender covers the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League and UEFA Conference League across the Caribbean, Greece, Türkiye, Malta, Iceland, Cyprus, Israel, New Zealand and Australia.
The process is being managed by UC3, the joint venture between UEFA and the European Football Clubs organisation, alongside Relevant Football, UEFA’s sales agency for the competitions’ media, sponsorship and licensing rights through 2033.
TRT holds Champions League rights in Türkiye
TRT is among the broadcasters currently showing the UEFA Champions League in the markets covered by the tender. Other rights holders include Cosmote and Mega in Greece, Melita in Malta, Cyta in Cyprus, Viaplay and Syn in Iceland, The Sports Channel in Israel, DAZN in New Zealand, Nine Network in Australia and Rush Sports in the Caribbean.
Türkiye and Greece regularly have clubs competing in the Champions League. The teams representing the two countries in the 2026-27 season include Fenerbahçe, Galatasaray and AEK Athens.
UEFA rights sales continue across Asia
UEFA’s wider media rights sales process is also progressing in other markets. Chinese digital streaming platform iQIYI Sports renewed its rights for the same cycle in early September, while telecommunications company Advanced Info Services has emerged as UEFA’s preferred bidder for rights in Thailand, Laos and Cambodia.
Tender processes are also underway in South Korea and Taiwan.
The latest round of tenders forms part of UEFA’s preparations for the next four-season cycle of its men’s club competitions, beginning in 2027-28.
