Adidas signs 2026 World Cup surprise star Vozinha

Adidas has signed a sponsorship deal with Cape Verde goalkeeper Vozinha, who attracted international attention with his performance against Spain at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The agreement marks a new commercial milestone for the 40-year-old goalkeeper.

According to French sports business publication Sportune, the partnership was officially confirmed on Friday, October 16. Vozinha, who joined Chilean club Colo-Colo in August, had already been spotted wearing Adidas products following his arrival in the country.

The goalkeeper’s appearances in Adidas gear, including Predator boots and gloves during training sessions, had fuelled speculation about a potential partnership in recent weeks. The official announcement has now confirmed the agreement.

Vozinha ends partnerships with Senda Athletics and Elite Sport

The Adidas deal also brings Vozinha’s previous equipment partnerships to an end. The Cape Verde international had been wearing boots supplied by Senda Athletics, an Argentine brand founded by Santiago Halty, and goalkeeper gloves from Elite Sport. Both brands supported him during his high-profile performances at the 2026 World Cup.

The signing adds one of the tournament’s breakout names to Adidas’ football sponsorship portfolio. The German sportswear company has also been Colo-Colo’s kit supplier since 2021, giving the partnership an existing connection to Vozinha’s club.
