FuboTV has signed seven new distribution agreements with regional sports networks (RSNs) for the 2026–27 NBA season, expanding its coverage to more than 75% of the league’s RSN markets. The deals cover the Atlanta Hawks, Charlotte Hornets, Detroit Pistons, Miami Heat, Milwaukee Bucks, Oklahoma City Thunder and Orlando Magic.
The streaming platform, part of The Walt Disney Company, continues to strengthen its local sports offering by adding regional broadcasts to its NBA coverage.
Under the new agreements, Atlanta Hawks games will be available through Gray and several local stations, while Charlotte Hornets broadcasts will air on WAXN TV 64. Detroit Pistons games will be distributed through Scripps and multiple local stations, while Miami Heat coverage will be available on WPLG’s Local 10.
Milwaukee Bucks games will be carried on Bucks TV, while Oklahoma City Thunder broadcasts will be available through Griffin Media’s KSBI and Oklahoma’s Own Sports. Orlando Magic games will air on WRDQ MagicTV 27 and WJAX.2 Action Sports Jax TV.
FuboTV expands its NBA regional network
FuboTV previously announced a distribution agreement with the Los Angeles Clippers and the NBA for local coverage through ClipperVision. The platform also carries local broadcasts for 14 other NBA teams under existing agreements, including the Boston Celtics, Brooklyn Nets, New York Knicks, Golden State Warriors and Phoenix Suns.
Todd Mathers, Fubo’s executive vice president of content strategy and acquisition, said the platform continues to strengthen its position in local sports, with coverage extending to more than 75% of NBA regional sports network markets.
According to the company, Fubo’s sports offering includes more than 80,000 live events annually and over 50 regional sports networks in its base package. Its channel lineup also includes NBA TV, ABC, ESPN and NBC. The platform additionally offers more than 40,000 on-demand series and films each month.
NHL agreement preceded NBA expansion
The latest NBA deals follow a similar move by FuboTV in September, when the company announced a multiyear distribution agreement with the National Hockey League (NHL) covering four regional sports networks.
The agreement brought regional broadcasts for the Carolina Hurricanes, Columbus Blue Jackets, Minnesota Wild and St. Louis Blues to Fubo subscribers in their respective markets.
The NBA and NHL agreements highlight FuboTV’s strategy of expanding its live sports portfolio through regional broadcasting partnerships, giving subscribers access to more local team coverage across major US professional leagues.
