The Kings League continues its technological evolution with the announcement of the new Kings League Fantasy, a platform that moves away from card-collecting mechanics to adopt a free-to-play model focused on pure competition. The global launch is set to coincide with the start of the new season in Spain on March 1, 2026.

A Competitive Model for Global Markets

The new platform aims to unify the global Kings League community under a single set of rules, allowing users to build rosters with real players and compete in worldwide rankings.

  • Manager Mode: Designed for mass competition, this mode allows users to participate in open and private leagues, facilitating social interaction and global leaderboard climbing.
  • Prestige Mode: A specialized mode geared toward users seeking a more advanced and technical sports management experience.

Exclusive Features for the Spanish Market

While the platform launch is global, the competition has decided to maintain a strong link with local football culture in Spain through a dedicated game mode.

  • Classic Mode: Available exclusively in Spain, this mode replicates the “traditional fantasy” experience. It features unique players per league, real-time bidding systems, and the famous release clauses (cláusulas) that drive engagement in local leagues.

The Kings League Digital Strategy

This move reinforces the strategy led by Gerard Piqué to transform the Kings League into a transmedia entertainment product. By democratizing access to the Fantasy platform, the league aims to increase fan retention and deepen the connection between viewers and the players of the 12 competing teams.
