adidas has unveiled the official match balls for the 2026/27 UEFA Champions League and UEFA Women’s Champions League, with two distinct designs inspired by dedication, ambition and the collective effort behind Europe’s biggest club competitions.
The UEFA Champions League official match ball pays tribute to the work that takes place away from the spotlight. Inspired by players training on cold, foggy mornings, the design transforms the mist surrounding those sessions into a visual representation of dedication, perseverance and the pursuit of success.
A metallic finish gives the white base of the ball added depth, while the mist effect moves through the competition’s iconic stars. Reflecting light across the surface, the stars are illuminated with vivid colours. Pink detailing highlights both the adidas and UEFA Champions League logos.
The design aims to capture the journey from the unseen preparation that takes place away from the stadium to the biggest stage in European club football, while maintaining a strong visual connection with the UEFA Champions League identity.
The UEFA Women’s Champions League official match ball celebrates the continued rise of women’s football through a design built around the tournament’s iconic 11-star ring motif. Representing the 11 players on the pitch, the stars form a dynamic “Ring of Light” across the surface of the ball.
The moving graphic design is intended to convey speed, energy and the momentum of a new era for the women’s game. Vibrant purple tones are combined with gold and orange details against a white base, while metallic silver elements add depth to the design.
Black adidas and UEFA Women’s Champions League logos provide a strong contrast against the ball’s vibrant colour palette. Fine graphic details also reference the tournament’s iconic anthem, connecting the new design with the competition’s heritage.
Both official match balls feature adidas’ thermally bonded, seamless construction, designed to deliver precision, consistency and control at the highest level of European club football.
The official match balls for the 2026/27 UEFA Champions League and UEFA Women’s Champions League league phases will be available from Aug. 26 at adidas stores, selected retailers and adidas’ Turkish football store.
The launch further strengthens adidas’ position at the centre of European club football. The brand is an official supplier of some of the sport’s leading competitions, including the FIFA World Cup, FIFA Women’s World Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, UEFA European Championship, UEFA Champions League and UEFA Women’s Champions League.
adidas also works with leading clubs including Real Madrid, Liverpool, Manchester United, Arsenal, Bayern Munich and Juventus, as well as a global roster of footballers including Jude Bellingham, Lionel Messi, Mohamed Salah, Lamine Yamal, Aitana Bonmatí and Trinity Rodman.
