Antenna Group and DAZN have launched an exclusive partnership to create a daily news service on DAZN Italia, marking the streaming platform’s move into general news programming.
The service will begin on June 28, 2026, coinciding with the midpoint of the FIFA World Cup 2026 coverage on DAZN. It is designed as the first news programme in Italy built specifically for a streaming-first audience.
Produced by Antenna Group and supervised by senior editors from GEDI Digital, the show will combine Italian and international news with sports, entertainment, and technology content. Editorial decisions will be influenced by DAZN audience data, with a focus on explainer formats and longer digital-friendly segments.
The partnership follows Antenna Group’s acquisition of GEDI Gruppo Editoriale and is part of its broader strategy to expand its media footprint in Italy through journalism and digital investment.
Antenna Group will also set up a dedicated news production unit for DAZN in Italy. The company operates 37 TV channels and two streaming platforms across multiple regions, reaching more than 500 million people.
The goal of the collaboration is to merge Antenna’s journalism capabilities with DAZN’s sports-driven streaming ecosystem to build a new model for integrated news and sports content in Italy.
