The ATP is officially joining the fantasy sports craze. The men’s professional tennis circuit has announced the launch of ATP Fantasy, a new digital platform developed in partnership with sports media tech leader Deltatre. The move follows the successful blueprints of leagues like Formula 1, LaLiga, and the Kings League to deepen fan engagement.
How the Game Works
The platform challenges users to act as team managers within a fixed budget. Key features include:
- Roster Construction: Users select eight players (six starters and two substitutes).
- Budgeting: Teams must be built using a 100-credit cap, with player values determined by their official ATP Rankings.
- Scoring: Points are awarded based on real-world match performance throughout the ATP Tour season.
The 2026 Calendar and Series
The inaugural season kicks off at the Monte-Carlo Masters in April and runs through the Paris Masters in November, spanning 23 weeks of competition. The season is divided into four distinct phases:
- Clay Court Swing
- Grass Court Season
- North American Hard Court Swing
- The Race to the Nitto ATP Finals
Elite Prizes on the Line
To incentivize participation, the ATP is offering high-value rewards, including sponsor merchandise and 2027 tournament tickets. The grand prize winner for the overall season will receive a luxury trip for two to the 2027 Nitto ATP Finals, including flights, accommodation, and premium tickets.
“This platform offers fans a new way to interact with the ATP and connect with their favorite players,” said Andrew Walker, ATP Senior VP of Brand and Marketing. Deltatre’s Revenue Officer, Peter Bellamy, added that the game is designed to capture “new demographics” and build long-term fan loyalty.
