Bayern Munich has renewed its commercial partnership with fintech company Adyen, extending a relationship that began in 2023.

Under the renewed agreement, Amsterdam-based Adyen will remain Bayern Munich’s exclusive payment solutions partner, continuing to manage payment processing across the club’s sales channels.

The partnership covers transactions at Bayern’s 75,000-capacity Allianz Arena in Munich as well as purchases at the club’s official retail outlets.

GlobalData Sport previously estimated the value of the partnership at approximately $1.5 million per year. Financial terms of the renewed agreement were not disclosed.

Bayern continues to expand its commercial portfolio

The renewal comes as Bayern strengthens its commercial portfolio ahead of the 2026–27 season.

In September, the Bundesliga champions extended their partnership with German pharmaceutical company Ursapharm for another three years. The agreement will keep Ursapharm and its Hylo brand as a Gold Partner through 2029, building on a relationship that began in 2017.

Bayern also added artificial intelligence company Wonderful to its partner portfolio last month.

The Adyen agreement stands out from conventional sponsorship deals by extending into the club’s payment infrastructure, covering transactions across both its matchday and retail operations.

Adyen’s sports portfolio also includes a commercial partnership with the Tour of Britain cycling race.
