Chelsea FC partners with Roc Nation to expand U.S. fanbase

Chelsea FC has announced a new partnership with Roc Nation Sports International aimed at strengthening the club’s presence and cultural reach in the United States.

The Premier League club is positioning the collaboration as part of a broader strategy that blends football with music, entertainment and lifestyle branding to connect with younger audiences in North America. Financial details and contract length have not been disclosed.

The partnership was launched with a limited-edition Chelsea shirt giveaway, including a specially designed and signed version created in collaboration with DJ Khaled, one of Roc Nation’s high-profile represented artists.

Roc Nation Sports International, founded in 2013 as the sports arm of Jay-Z’s entertainment company, will lead marketing activations involving influencers and cultural figures to increase Chelsea’s visibility in the U.S. market and drive deeper fan engagement.

Chelsea’s brand director Scott Fenton said the partnership reflects a modern approach to fan engagement: “This alliance represents a major step forward in how we connect with our supporters in the United States. By leaning into culture, music and creativity, we are building deeper and more authentic relationships with a new generation of fans.”

RNSI president Michael Yormark added that the goal is to position Chelsea within the moments and platforms that matter most to modern audiences, ensuring the club remains culturally relevant beyond the pitch.

The move reflects a growing trend among elite European football clubs to collaborate with entertainment and media agencies in order to expand global reach, particularly in the commercially important U.S. sports market.
