Copa del Rey Final to be streamed live on YouTube

Spanish streamer and digital creator Ibai Llanos will broadcast the Copa del Rey Final on YouTube, marking a new milestone in football media distribution as the match is shown on a creator-led platform alongside traditional TV coverage.

The final, featuring Atlético Madrid and Real Sociedad, will also air on Spain’s public broadcaster RTVE, meaning the game will be available simultaneously across linear television and digital streaming formats.

Llanos, who has more than 15 million YouTube subscribers, will provide live coverage as well as pre- and post-match analysis with other content creators, extending the match into a broader entertainment format.

The deal, brokered by Peak Sport Media, highlights the continued convergence between traditional sports broadcasting and influencer-led media ecosystems. It also follows earlier experiments in Spanish football streaming culture, including Twitch-based broadcasts involving Real Sociedad in domestic competitions.

This latest move reinforces the growing role of digital creators in mainstream sports distribution, particularly in high-profile fixtures with global audiences.
