Investor David Blitzer is widening his sports empire with a dual investment into golf, backing a new creator-led media network and acquiring one of the largest junior golf tours in the United States.
Through his investment firm Bolt Ventures, Blitzer has become a key financial backer of Source Golf, a YouTube-first golf content network featuring Bryson DeChambeau, Grant Horvat, and the Bryan Bros, designed to consolidate top creator channels into a unified media product aimed at younger audiences and TV consumption.
In parallel, Bolt Ventures has acquired the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT), a junior circuit that runs more than 300 events annually across the U.S. and internationally for players aged 8–18.
Blitzer, who already holds ownership stakes across the NBA, NHL, MLB, and MLS, said the strategy reflects a broader push to modernise sports consumption through digital content, influencer-driven formats, and youth participation pathways.
“We have a unique opportunity to bring the game to more fans, especially youth, than ever before,” Blitzer said.
The move follows a wider trend of private capital targeting fragmented sports ecosystems, where media rights, content creation, and grassroots participation are increasingly being bundled into single investment platforms.
