DAZN has expanded its football offering in Spain following the country’s 2026 FIFA World Cup triumph by securing the rights to UEFA Nations League matches and UEFA Euro 2028 qualifying fixtures.
The international OTT streaming platform will broadcast more than 500 UEFA national team matches over the next two years.
The package includes every fixture from the UEFA Nations League group stage, quarter-finals and final phase, as well as all UEFA Euro 2028 qualifying matches and a selection of international friendlies.
Spain’s national team fixtures will also be included if the side reaches the final phase of the Nations League. However, those matches will be available on DAZN on a delayed basis, as Spanish public-service broadcaster RTVE holds the live rights.
England, France, Germany and Italy among the teams featured
DAZN will also broadcast national team matches involving some of Europe’s biggest football nations, including England, France, Italy, Germany and the Netherlands.
The majority of DAZN’s coverage will be exclusive. However, RTVE retains the right to select the first-choice match on each matchday.
DAZN also plans to make many of the fixtures available on a free-to-air basis as it looks to attract new customers.
Oscar Vilda, CEO of DAZN Iberia, said the agreement would strengthen the platform’s position as a leading destination for football fans in Spain by providing a continuous schedule of international football, alongside analysis and highlights.
DAZN now holds rights to all five major European leagues in Spain
The new agreement adds to DAZN’s growing domestic football portfolio in Spain, which already includes LaLiga, second-tier LaLiga Hypermotion, women’s top-flight Liga F and the men’s third-tier Primera Federación.
Earlier this month, DAZN also announced a multi-year agreement to broadcast France’s Ligue 1 in Spain, with every match from the top flight available exclusively on the platform and two fixtures per week featuring Spanish-language commentary.
The deal means DAZN now holds the rights to all five of Europe’s major domestic leagues in the Spanish market: the Premier League, Ligue 1, Bundesliga, Serie A and LaLiga.
