DFB to Launch Pay-TV Channel DFB.TV

The German Football Association (DFB) is moving into direct-to-consumer media with the launch of DFB.TV, a new pay-TV and streaming platform created in partnership with Sportainment Media Group.

Set to go live on 22 May 2026, on the eve of the DFB Cup final, the 24/7 channel aims to become a dedicated media hub for German football, offering a mix of live matches, studio programming, documentaries, and archival content.

DFB.TV will broadcast across cable, satellite, IPTV, and OTT platforms, with confirmed distribution via Vodafone, Astra/HD+, Zattoo, and DAZN at launch. A standalone streaming app, DFB.TV+, will also be available for €5.99 per month.

The channel will go beyond top-tier football, showcasing content from the 3. Liga, women’s football, futsal, beach soccer, youth internationals, amateur competitions, and behind-the-scenes coverage of the German national teams.

During the FIFA World Cup 2026, DFB.TV plans extensive on-site coverage, including training camps, press conferences, and access to the team’s base environment.

DFB describes the project as a complementary platform to existing broadcast partners rather than a competitor, aiming to broaden visibility for underrepresented competitions in German football.
