Eagle Football Group set to return to OL Groupe name and leave Euronext Paris

Eagle Football Group, the parent company of Olympique Lyonnais, is preparing for a major change in its corporate and stock-market structure.

The company’s board has called a combined general meeting for October 16, where shareholders will vote on a proposal to change the company’s name back to Olympique Lyonnais Groupe and transfer its shares from the regulated Euronext Paris market to Euronext Growth.

The move would effectively mark a return to the company’s historic identity. In the meantime, the business will use OL Groupe as its commercial name, while its shares are expected to adopt the new label “OL Groupe” and ticker “OLG.”

From OL Groupe to Eagle Football and back again

The parent company was historically known as OL Groupe before being renamed Eagle Football Group in 2024. The proposed change would restore the OL Groupe identity following the acquisition of a majority stake in the company by Olympe Bidco.

The corporate restructuring comes as Olympique Lyonnais enters a new ownership phase and seeks to align its listed-company structure with its current scale.

The proposed stock-market transfer would move the company from the regulated Euronext Paris market to Euronext Growth, a multilateral trading platform designed in part for small and mid-sized companies.

According to the company, the move is intended to provide a regulatory framework better suited to its size and market capitalisation while allowing it to remain accessible to investors through the financial markets.

No new shares planned in the transfer

The proposed operation would involve the delisting of the existing shares from Euronext Paris and their simultaneous admission to Euronext Growth.

Importantly, the transfer itself would not involve the issuance of new shares. Euroland Corporate has been appointed as listing sponsor to assist with the process.

The company also confirmed that the planned transfer would have no impact on the timetable or completion of the mandatory public tender offer by Olympe Bidco, which was announced in June.

The tender offer is expected to proceed following the publication of Eagle Football Group’s annual financial statements for the year ending June 30, 2026.

December could mark the next step

If shareholders approve the proposal at the October 16 meeting, the company plans to submit its application for the transfer toward the end of October.

Subject to the completion of the public tender offer and Euronext approval, the shares could begin trading on Euronext Growth as early as December 16, 2026.

The move represents another significant step in the transformation of the corporate structure surrounding Olympique Lyonnais.

Once the process is completed, the company will once again operate under the OL Groupe name — a return to the identity it used before the Eagle Football era — while its shares will trade on a market designed for companies of its current size and profile.
