The Football Association has partnered with InPost to create a new revenue stream for grassroots clubs across England.
The initiative allows accredited grassroots clubs and County FAs to host InPost lockers on-site at no cost, turning unused space into a source of income while increasing daily footfall.
Unlocking new income for grassroots football
Through the partnership with The Football Association, clubs can install parcel lockers that operate 24/7, enabling local residents, players, and families to send, collect, and return parcels at their convenience.
The model is designed to:
- Generate additional revenue
- Increase community engagement
- Drive more consistent footfall outside matchdays and training sessions
Community-first commercial strategy
The lockers are positioned as both a service and a revenue tool, helping clubs better utilise their facilities while serving local communities.
InPost and The FA will support clubs with guidance and promotional materials to help integrate the service into local environments.
A sustainable model for grassroots clubs
Paul Selvey, Network Director at InPost UK, highlighted the importance of sustainable income streams for grassroots football:
“By installing an InPost Locker, clubs can turn unused space into a service people need every day.”
James Kendall, Director of Football Development at The FA, added that clubs play a broader role beyond football:
“Grassroots clubs act as vital community hubs, and this partnership offers a new way to support their financial sustainability.”
Football meets everyday commerce
The partnership reflects a growing trend of integrating commercial services into sports infrastructure, allowing clubs to diversify income while strengthening their role within local communities.
