FC Barcelona has strengthened its international commercial strategy by adding Emirates Islamic as a new regional banking partner in the United Arab Emirates.
The agreement, announced on 20 May 2026, positions the bank as the club’s official commercial banking partner in the UAE until June 2028. While financial terms were not disclosed, the partnership is designed to deepen Barça’s presence in a key Middle Eastern market.
Under the deal, Emirates Islamic will launch fan-focused financial products, including cashback incentives of up to 4% on spending categories such as sports, fuel, groceries, and dining. The initiative also includes access to exclusive experiences linked to the Catalan club.
Some cardholders will be eligible for match tickets, official merchandise, and other club-related rewards aimed at strengthening engagement with supporters in the region.
The move reflects Barcelona’s broader strategy of segmenting its banking sponsorships by geography, partnering with different financial institutions across global markets. For example, Bank Rakyat Indonesia serves as the club’s official banking partner in Indonesia under a similar fan-engagement model.
Club officials highlighted the partnership as a way to integrate football engagement into everyday financial activity, while Emirates Islamic described the collaboration as a combination of premium banking benefits and exclusive sporting experiences tied to one of football’s most globally recognized clubs.
Financially, Barcelona reported ordinary revenues of nearly €994 million for the 2024–25 season, with commercial operations remaining the club’s strongest revenue stream, contributing more than €584 million according to European football finance benchmarks.
