Fininvest has officially exited the ownership of AC Monza after selling its remaining 20% stake to U.S.-based fund Beckett Layne Ventures, completing a full divestment from the club.
The transaction marks the end of Fininvest’s involvement in Monza’s ownership structure. The holding company, previously controlled by the family of Silvio Berlusconi, finalized the sale under previously agreed contractual terms. With this move, Fininvest is no longer a shareholder in the Lombardy-based club.
Fininvest’s investment in Monza began under Silvio Berlusconi’s leadership and is widely viewed as his final major football project. During that period, the club progressed from Serie C, achieved promotion to Serie A, and established itself as a top-flight Italian side.
The company highlighted the symbolic importance of the journey, noting that the project combined sporting ambition with long-term club development. Fininvest’s statement framed the exit as the conclusion of an era tied to Berlusconi’s vision in football, particularly after the club’s return to Serie A.
With the acquisition by Beckett Layne Ventures, Monza now enters a new phase under full U.S.-led ownership, closing a chapter that connected one of Italy’s most influential football figures to his final club project.
