Inter Miami signs partnership with Mastercard

Inter Miami CF has announced a major partnership with Mastercard, naming the global payments giant as the club’s Exclusive Payment Services Partner and an Official Partner of both the club and the new Nu Stadium.

The agreement comes at a significant moment for soccer in North America and aims to enhance the fan experience through integrated payment technology, digital innovation, and exclusive activations.

Mastercard brings more than 30 years of involvement in global soccer to the partnership, while Lionel Messi — Inter Miami’s captain — has served as a Mastercard global ambassador since 2018. Messi’s presence at the club is expected to further strengthen the commercial impact of the collaboration.

Under the deal, Mastercard will power seamless cashless payment systems throughout Nu Stadium, including ticketing, concessions, and retail operations. The company will also receive prominent branding and visibility across the venue.

Fans will gain access to exclusive “Priceless Experiences,” including opportunities to watch players during warmups from pitchside locations, priority ticket access, rewards tied to public transit “Tap and Go” payments, and other premium benefits.

Xavier Asensi, President of Business Operations at Inter Miami, said the partnership brings together two globally recognized brands focused on creating meaningful fan experiences.

Mastercard Americas Executive Vice President Rustom Dastoor said the company is entering “a new chapter” in soccer alongside Inter Miami and Messi, emphasizing the cultural power of the sport and its passionate fan communities.

Meanwhile, Cristina Junqueira, Co-founder and U.S. CEO of Nu, described Nu Stadium as a space built for fans and community, adding that Mastercard’s arrival further strengthens the stadium’s innovation-focused vision.

The partnership creates a fully integrated ecosystem connecting financial services, payments technology, and fan engagement, as Inter Miami continues expanding its global commercial presence around the Messi era.
