The International Skating Union has begun a tender process to select one or more agency partners to help drive the commercial and broadcast future of the sport, marking a key step in its broader growth strategy.
The Switzerland-based governing body is seeking partners that can help it bring together its commercial and media rights under a single, integrated framework for the first time. The move is part of its long-term Vision 2030 plan, which aims to grow global engagement while balancing revenue generation with audience expansion.
Agencies have been invited to submit expressions of interest by March 26, after which shortlisted candidates will be asked to present full proposals by May 6.
The ISU says it is looking for partners with forward-looking strategies across media, sponsorship and licensing, as it looks to modernise how its rights are packaged and distributed.
Colin Smith, director at the ISU, said the organisation wants to work with agencies capable of helping optimise media rights, expand sponsorship programmes and strengthen licensing and merchandising operations.
The tender reflects a wider trend across international sport, where governing bodies are increasingly consolidating rights and seeking strategic partners to manage them more holistically.
The ISU has already taken steps in this direction. Last month, it announced a strategic partnership with Deloitte, which is working with the federation to strengthen its digital ecosystem and improve the fan experience.
