La Liga has announced a historic milestone, confirming an all-time attendance record of 11.69 million spectators during the 2025/26 season.
The Spanish top division reported a total of 11,693,679 fans attending matches across the campaign, marking a 4.2% increase compared to the previous season and setting the highest attendance figure in league history.
Strong stadium demand despite capacity limits
The league also recorded record-breaking stadium occupancy levels, with an average occupancy rate of 84.9% across all matches. Average match attendance rose to 31,018 spectators per game, the highest level since the 2014/15 season.
Stadium renovations impact capacity
The record was achieved despite several clubs operating with reduced capacity due to ongoing infrastructure projects. Among the stadiums affected were:
- Spotify Camp Nou
- Coliseum (Getafe CF)
- ABANCA Balaídos (RC Celta)
