LaLiga has strengthened its international media footprint through new broadcast agreements with DAZN in Sub-Saharan Africa and SportyNet in Brazil.
The three-season agreement with DAZN will run until the end of the 2028-29 campaign, giving subscribers across 48 Sub-Saharan African markets access to all 380 LaLiga matches each season, both live and on demand.
The coverage will also include highlights, archive programming, weekly shows and exclusive behind-the-scenes content, with matches available in both English and Spanish.
LaLiga president Javier Tebas said the agreement would make it easier for millions of fans across the region to follow the competition and further strengthen the league’s long-standing relationship with DAZN. The streaming platform already holds LaLiga rights in several key international markets, including Spain, Italy, Japan, Portugal, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and France.
In Brazil, SportyNet has secured a sublicensing agreement through Brazilian sports marketing agency LiveMode. The platform will broadcast 76 LaLiga matches during the current season, with games available on pay television, free via YouTube and through SportyNet’s forthcoming official app.
SportyNet is set to air two matches per round, including fixtures involving Atlético Madrid, Real Betis, Sevilla, Valencia, Athletic Club, Real Sociedad and Villarreal.
The deal further expands SportyNet’s football portfolio, which already includes rights to Germany’s Bundesliga and Italy’s Serie A, alongside the Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana.
The agreements underline LaLiga’s continued strategy of expanding its distribution through a mix of global streaming platforms, regional broadcasters and digital channels, with Africa and Brazil representing two strategically important football markets.
