LaLiga extends South American media rights deal with ESPN and DSports through 2032

Athletic Club and Digi Extend Shirt Sponsorship Deal Through 2028

LaLiga will continue to be broadcast across Spanish-speaking South America through ESPN and DSports after agreeing to a six-year media rights extension covering the 2026-27 through 2031-32 seasons.

The renewed agreement covers Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela, excluding Brazil. The previous agreement between LaLiga, Disney-owned ESPN and DirecTV-operated DSports ran from mid-2020 through the end of the 2025-26 season.

The extension comes ahead of the start of the new LaLiga season on August 15 and reinforces the competition’s long-term presence in a strategically important market. South America remains a major source of talent for Spanish football, with players such as Atlético Madrid’s Julián Álvarez and Real Madrid’s Federico Valverde among the league’s leading South American stars.

LaLiga president Javier Tebas said the renewal would allow the league to continue working with two established partners with the reach and editorial capabilities needed to serve fans across the region.

ESPN will continue to distribute LaLiga through its linear channels as well as the Disney+ Premium plan in Latin America.

In a separate agreement, LaLiga has also extended its partnership with Sport Klub in Croatia and Slovenia through the 2029-30 season. Sport Klub will broadcast all 380 LaLiga matches each season over the next four campaigns.

The latest agreements follow recent LaLiga media rights deals in France, where coverage will be shared by Disney+ and DAZN, and China, where Migu holds the rights.

In Spain, meanwhile, the majority of LaLiga matches are split between DAZN and Telefónica under agreements running through 2032.
