LaLiga has reached an all-time high in revenue, surpassing €5.4 billion for the 2024/25 season, according to its latest Economic and Financial Report. The figure represents an 8.1% increase compared to the previous year, highlighting strong commercial growth and a continued return of fans to stadiums.

A key driver behind this performance has been the league’s commercial segment, which exceeded €1 billion for the third consecutive year and climbed to €1.5 billion. This growth has been fueled by international expansion strategies and improved monetization efforts across global markets.

Attendance Reaches Historic Levels

Fan engagement also reached new heights, with total stadium attendance surpassing 17 million for the first time in LaLiga history.

The top tier, LaLiga EA Sports, recorded an average occupancy rate of 84.5%, while LaLiga Hypermotion posted 68.5%. These figures underline the sustained recovery of matchday demand and the effectiveness of ongoing stadium modernization projects.

Financial Discipline and Stability

From a financial perspective, clubs maintained player wage costs below 70% of revenue, in line with UEFA guidelines. This reflects the continued enforcement of LaLiga’s Economic Control system, widely regarded as one of the strictest financial governance models in European football.

The league also reinforced its financial stability through diversified funding structures, including long-term infrastructure investments. Capital expenditure rose by 12% year-on-year, supporting stadium upgrades and improved facilities aimed at boosting future revenues.

Strong Foundations for Future Growth

On the sporting side, LaLiga continues to stand out among Europe’s top five leagues for the market value of academy-developed players and their integration into first teams. This focus on youth development strengthens both sporting competitiveness and financial sustainability.

Looking ahead to the 2025/26 season, LaLiga expects continued revenue growth and improved operating margins, driven by its regulatory framework and long-term strategic planning.

With record-breaking revenues, rising attendances, and disciplined financial management, LaLiga is reinforcing its position as one of the most stable and commercially advanced leagues in global football.
