Louis Vuitton unveiled as official supplier of the FIFA World Cup 2026 trophy trunk

Luxury fashion house Louis Vuitton has been named an Official Supplier and Official Branded Licensee of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, extending its long-standing partnership with football’s biggest tournament.

As part of the agreement, the French brand will create the official custom-made trunk designed to transport and protect the FIFA World Cup Trophy. The trunk will play a central role in the tournament’s ceremonial program and will be carried onto the pitch before the final by a Louis Vuitton ambassador alongside a FIFA legend, continuing a tradition that began at the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

Handcrafted in France

The trophy trunk has been handcrafted by Louis Vuitton artisans at the brand’s historic workshop in Asnières-sur-Seine, near Paris.

It features the house’s signature Monogram canvas, highlighted by a hand-painted gold “V” on the front panels, symbolizing both Victory and Vuitton while echoing the golden finish of the World Cup Trophy. The trunk is finished with leather trim, gold-tone brass corners and locks inspired by Louis Vuitton’s original designs dating back to the 19th century. Inside, it is lined with light beige leather and carries the official FIFA World Cup partnership logo.

FIFA: “A fitting home for football’s greatest prize”

FIFA Chief Business Officer Romy Gai said the collaboration reflects the prestige of both brands.

“Louis Vuitton brings a unique blend of heritage, craftsmanship and prestige to the FIFA World Cup. The FIFA World Cup Trophy is the most coveted prize in football, making Louis Vuitton the natural choice to transport it. The trophy’s arrival on the pitch before the final has become one of the tournament’s most iconic ceremonial moments.”

Louis Vuitton Chairman and CEO Pietro Beccari added that the company and FIFA have shared a commitment to excellence for more than a decade.

“The World Cup Trophy represents the highest achievement in football and embodies dedication, ambition and collective success. With this new edition, the Louis Vuitton trophy trunk continues to celebrate that story at the sport’s greatest moment.”

Limited-edition collection launched

To mark its role as an Official Branded Licensee, Louis Vuitton also introduced a limited-edition collection inspired by the trophy trunk. The range includes luxury watch trunks capable of storing eight and sixteen timepieces, as well as a premium travel trunk, all featuring the iconic Monogram canvas, hand-painted FIFA World Cup branding and the signature gold “V” motif.

Partnership dating back to 2010

Louis Vuitton has designed the official FIFA World Cup Trophy trunk for every edition since South Africa 2010, including Brazil 2014, Russia 2018, Qatar 2022, and now FIFA World Cup 2026, continuing its global campaign under the slogan “Victory Travels in Louis Vuitton.”
