Manchester United is investing in the future of its matchday experience, signing a multi-year agreement with Levy to overhaul food, beverage, and service operations at Old Trafford.
The partnership will introduce a series of upgrades starting next season, aimed at reducing wait times and improving overall fan satisfaction inside one of football’s most iconic venues.
Faster service, smarter stadium
At the center of the transformation are frictionless “grab-and-go†kiosks and self-service bars, designed to streamline purchases and ease congestion across concourses. Fans will be able to tap, collect items, and move on without traditional queuing delays.
The club will also install new digital signage systems capable of dynamically adjusting menus based on kick-off times and specific events. This will be paired with an expanded food offering, including collaborations with local Manchester street food vendors.
Enhancing flow and experience
The upgrades are expected to significantly improve crowd movement throughout the stadium. Additional draught beer taps will be installed across all sections, further reducing service bottlenecks during peak periods.
According to CEO Omar Berrada, enhancing matchday experience is a core pillar of the club’s short-term strategy, even as larger infrastructure plans remain on the horizon.
Part of a bigger vision
The Levy deal complements a broader investment program already underway at Old Trafford, including upgrades to premium hospitality areas scheduled for completion this summer. Further improvements to concourses and fan spaces are expected to be announced later this year.
At the same time, Manchester United continues to explore a long-term stadium project that could see a new 100,000-seat venue replace Old Trafford. The proposed development—expected to cost more than £2 billion—could take up to five years to complete once approved.
Balancing present and future
While the club looks ahead to a potential new stadium, the immediate focus remains on improving existing infrastructure.
For Manchester United, the message is clear: modernize now, while building for tomorrow.
