The NFL-backed Fanatics Flag Football Classic struggled to capture broadcast audiences, averaging under 650,000 viewers per game despite featuring high-profile NFL stars. Fox reported an average of 641,000 viewers for the round-robin matches, while the championship game drew 649,000 viewers.
The event included Tom Brady, Saquon Barkley, and Davante Adams, but even star power could not boost viewership. Originally planned in Saudi Arabia, the tournament moved to Los Angeles due to military conflicts in the Middle East.
Flag football continues to grow in participation, but translating this popularity into mainstream TV appeal remains a challenge.
