Nine Network has secured free-to-air rights to the National Basketball League for the next two seasons, starting with 2026–27.
The deal will see two live games broadcast weekly across Nine’s linear channels and its 9Now platform, alongside coverage of the Finals Series. Programming will also include a weekly analysis show and dedicated digital content hub.
The agreement marks a shift from Network Ten, which held the FTA package for the 2025–26 season, while primary rights remain with ESPN under a separate deal covering all matches.
The expanded FTA exposure comes amid strong growth for the league, with rising viewership, record attendance exceeding 1.2 million fans, and increasing international digital engagement, reinforcing the NBL’s upward commercial trajectory.
