Olympique de Marseille Unveils New Logo Blending History and Modern Identity

Olympique de Marseille has unveiled a new club logo, presented during the Treizième Homme Gala Dinner at Fort Ganteaume. The redesign is the result of an internal reflection process aimed at blending the club’s historical identity with a more modern visual direction.

The new emblem incorporates elements from several previous versions of the club’s branding, including the white ring inspired by the 1973 logo, the “M” structure rooted in the 1899 identity, dynamic curves from the 1986 design, and the double-ring motif associated with the 1993 logo. Rather than breaking from the past, the design reinterprets these historic features into a unified contemporary form.

A new color, “Blue Marseille,” has been introduced, combining traditional shades linked to the club with colors inspired by the city itself, including tones from local signage, the Calanques, and the Mediterranean sky. The typography similarly draws from both archival references and Marseille’s cultural and Mediterranean identity.

The logo is designed to be adaptable across different contexts, with variations for sporting use—featuring the star and the motto “Droit au But”—and institutional or digital environments where flexible color schemes and formats can be applied while maintaining strong recognizability.
