Palmeiras Signs Leapmotor as New Shirt Sponsor Until 2028

Palmeiras has announced a new sponsorship agreement with Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer Leapmotor, which will take over the back-of-shirt position across all of the club’s teams, including the men’s, women’s and youth sides, until March 2028.

The deal fills the space previously occupied by Fictor, which exited after filing for bankruptcy protection earlier this year, leaving outstanding payments still unresolved. Leapmotor, which entered the Brazilian market in late 2025, steps in as part of its broader expansion strategy in the region.

Financially, the agreement is structured around a fixed annual fee of $3.8 million, with the potential for an additional $1.9 million in variable payments through federal incentive mechanisms. Over the full duration of the contract, the total value could reach approximately $9.7 million.

Within Palmeiras’ commercial hierarchy, Leapmotor becomes one of the club’s key partners, ranking just behind Sportingbet and alongside Cimed. Collectively, the club’s shirt sponsorship portfolio is projected to generate more than $58 million annually.

The partnership was officially presented at Allianz Parque, where club president Leila Pereira emphasized the alignment between the club’s long-term vision and Leapmotor’s positioning. From Leapmotor’s side, the agreement is part of a wider strategy in South America that includes investment in local operations and distribution networks.

Leapmotor’s branding is expected to debut on Palmeiras’ kit in its upcoming Copa Libertadores 2026 match against Junior Barranquilla.
