Sergio Ramos has reached a preliminary agreement to acquire a majority stake in Sevilla FC through investment fund Five Eleven Capital, in a deal reportedly valued at €450 million.
According to reports in Spain, Ramos is acting as the representative of Five Eleven Capital in the operation, which would see the group acquire approximately 80% of the club’s shares. The agreement still requires final documentation and approval from Spain’s Consejo Superior de Deportes.
The transaction includes the shares currently controlled by the Carrión, Castro and Alés families, alongside the stake owned by club president José María del Nido Benavente. Together, the combined acquisition would hand the new ownership group effective control of Sevilla.
The Andalusian club has faced mounting financial pressure in recent seasons and currently operates with one of the lowest salary limits in La Liga. Reports indicate the incoming ownership is expected to inject between €80 million and €100 million through a capital increase to stabilize the club’s finances and strengthen sporting operations.
The proposed takeover would mark a symbolic return for Ramos, who began his professional career at Sevilla in 2003 before moving to Real Madrid CF and later becoming one of Spain’s most decorated footballers.
The parties are reportedly aiming to finalize the agreement before Sevilla’s upcoming match against Villarreal CF.
