Tottenham launch Peppa Pig range amid fan backlash

Tottenham Hotspur have launched a surprise merchandise collaboration with the iconic children’s brand Peppa Pig, introducing hats, scarves, and backpacks featuring the cartoon character alongside club branding.

The products, sold through the club shop, include £15 hats, scarves with Tottenham colours and slogans, and backpacks featuring Peppa and George. The collaboration also includes fan events such as meet-and-greets at the Tottenham Experience.

The launch comes during a difficult period for Spurs, who are battling near the bottom of the Premier League table. The timing has triggered strong reactions from supporters, many of whom criticised the club’s priorities.

Fans on social media questioned the announcement, with some expressing disbelief and frustration, while rival supporters mocked the initiative as symbolic of the club’s struggles.

Despite the backlash, Tottenham have previously featured Peppa Pig mascots at matches and continue to expand commercial activations aimed at family audiences.
