UEFA Launches Media Rights Tender for 2027–31 Club Competitions in the Baltic States

Amazon's Champions League coverage generates 20% brand favorability lift and 21% purchase consideration increase. BYD case study shows 26% brand consideration growth through Prime Video advertising.

UEFA has launched the next stage of its media rights sales process for its men’s club competitions by opening a tender covering the Baltic markets of Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia.

The bidding process opened on 27 July, with interested broadcasters and media companies required to submit offers by 24 August.

Four Seasons of Rights Available

The package covers the 2027-28 to 2030-31 seasons and includes rights to:

  • UEFA Champions League
  • UEFA Europa League
  • UEFA Conference League
  • UEFA Super Cup

The rights are being marketed by Relevent Football Partners and UC3, the joint venture between UEFA and the European Club Association (ECA) responsible for the commercial rights of UEFA’s club competitions.

TV3 Currently Holds the Rights

Commercial broadcaster TV3 currently holds the rights to UEFA’s men’s club competitions across Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia for the 2025-26 season.

The previous 2021-24 rights cycle was held by Viaplay, which has since withdrawn from the Baltic market.

Global Rights Sales Continue

The Baltic tender is part of UEFA’s wider international media rights sales programme for the 2027-31 commercial cycle.

Recent developments include:

  • A similar rights tender in Taiwan, with bids closing on 16 July.
  • Advanced Info Services (AIS) being selected as UEFA’s preferred bidder for club competition rights in Thailand.
  • Telemundo acquiring Spanish-language U.S. broadcast rights for UEFA’s men’s club competitions beginning with the 2027-28 season.

UEFA began the global rights sales process late last year, starting with Europe’s five largest media markets—the United Kingdom, Spain, Germany, Italy and France—before expanding the process to additional international territories.
